(May 7 - 2010) Hello, and welcome to the new version of NetSysTools.com. If you have been here before, you remember the old look and feel. It was pretty similar to other "tools" sites out there, with logically laid out text boxes to enter your input and a display section for data returned. While this worked, I always found myself dropping back to my own shell or command prompt to run common commands like ping and traceroute. The problem was these commands are so much quicker and useful via a command line than they are at any "tools" website out there. Thus the new version of NetSysTools was born, merging the power of the command line for this type of site, and the important ability to run these tools from a different location than your own system. As a system administrator I often need to run a ping or some other network diagnostic tool from another system than my own to test things, now you can too, and just as easy as if you where on a local shell. If you like this interface and use these tools, please spread the word!
